My name is Wendy Matheney. I am a Clarksville native, and I come from a military family. I live here with my husband, Ron, who works for Southwest Airlines.
This will be my 11th year teaching middle school science. I received my Bachelor's degree in Middle Education 4-8 and my Masters's degree in Curriculum Instruction, from Austin Peay State University. I also hold a K-12 Gifted Endorsement.
I teach 7th Grade Science, Orange House. I am so excited to be at Kirkwood Middle School and to work with the students, parents, and faculty.

For Science, you will need a composition book and pencils. Remember: *Cell phones off, and put away. We should not see them or hear them. *No ear pods, or cordless headphones. We will only use headphones with cords that plug into the computers. *No hats, or hoods, on your head when you are in the building. *No chains. Nothing with spikes or sharp objects on them. *No sunglasses when you are in the building. *No house shoes or pajamas. *Any holes in your jeans or pants must be below the mid-thigh. *Shorts, skirts, and dresses must be the length of YOUR mid-thigh. *Shorts or pants must be pulled up to your waist. *No tank tops, halter tops, or straps. *No crop tops. We should not be able to see your stomach or waist. *No low-cut tops, or anything see-through. *Please be kind to everyone.
  1. Be on time and in your seat at the bell.
  2. Have all materials for class. Notebook, pencil, and homework.
  3. Do not talk while I am giving instructions.
  4. Actively participate in group work and class discussions.
  5. Try your best and ask questions if you don't understand.
  6. Treat the school, faculty, other students, and yourself, with respect and kindness.
